Drive South Africa Referral Program: Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
1.1. These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the Referral Program (“Program”) offered by Drive South Africa (“DSA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). 1.2. By participating in the Program, participants (“Referrers” and “Referees”) agree to be bound by these T&Cs, as may be amended from time to time.
2. Definitions
2.1. Referrer: An existing customer who has fully paid for at least one booking with DSA and is eligible to receive a referral voucher code (“Voucher”).
2.2. Referee: A new customer who has never booked with DSA and redeems the Referrer’s Voucher.
2.3. Voucher: A unique code issued by DSA to a Referrer, which can be applied to the Referee’s booking in accordance with these T&Cs.
3. Eligibility
3.1. To qualify as a Referrer, you must have completed or fully paid for at least one DSA booking (which may include any vehicle type or product) and must not be an employee of DSA.
3.2. Only individuals who are 18 years or older and legally permitted to enter into binding contracts under the laws of South Africa are eligible to participate in the Program.
3.3. DSA employees, partners, agents, or any other individuals legally disqualified from participating are not eligible as Referrers or Referees.
4. How the Program Works
4.1. Voucher Issuance to Referrer
- 4.1.1. Upon receipt of final payment for a qualifying DSA booking, you (the Referrer) may receive a single-use, unique Voucher code.
- 4.1.2. The Voucher value is determined by the total value of the Referrer’s booking according to the following tiers:

- –R 15,000 booking→ Voucher Value: R 450
- –R 25,000 booking→ Voucher Value: R 700
- –R 35,000 booking→ Voucher Value: R 1,000
- –R 45,000 booking→ Voucher Value: R 1,250
- –R 55,000 booking→ Voucher Value: R 1,500
4.2. Referral to a New Customer
- 4.2.1. The Referrer may share their Voucher code with one new customer (the Referee).
- 4.2.2. Each unique Voucher code can only be used once and may not be duplicated or shared with multiple Referees.
- 4.2.3. A given Referee can only be referred once (i.e., the same individual cannot use different Voucher codes from different Referrers).
5. Voucher Redemption
5.1. Redemption Mechanics
- 5.1.1. To redeem the Voucher, the Referee must provide the Voucher code to their DSA consultant at the time of booking
- 5.1.2. Vouchers cannot be applied retrospectively to an already-confirmed or partially paid booking.
5.2. Minimum Vehicle Booking Value
- 5.2.1. A minimum vehicle booking value of R 15,000 applies for the Voucher to be valid.
5.3. Single Voucher Use
- 5.3.1. Only one Voucher code can be applied per booking. Vouchers cannot be combined with any other promotions, discounts, or special offers.
5.4. Validity Period
- 5.4.1. Each Voucher is valid for 24 months from the date of issue. If not redeemed within this period, the Voucher will expire and cannot be reactivated or refunded.
6. Conditions and Limitations
6.1. No Cash Exchange
- 6.1.1. Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash, nor do they hold any cash value.
6.2. Non-Transferable
- 6.2.1. Referrers may not refer themselves, and the Referrer and Referee cannot be the same person.
6.3. No Further Incentives
- 6.3.1. The Program grants only one Voucher at a time to a Referrer for each qualifying booking. There is no additional incentive for referring multiple individuals simultaneously.
6.4. Cancellation or Amendments
- 6.4.1. In the event a Referee’s booking (to which the Voucher applies) is cancelled, any associated Voucher amount will be automatically forfeited. If such cancellation occurs after partial use, there will be no residual credit or refund.
- 6.4.2. If the original (Referrer’s) booking is cancelled before the Voucher is used, DSA reserves the right to invalidate the Voucher.
7. Data Privacy
7.1. Collection of Personal Information
- 7.1.1. DSA will collect, process, and use personal information provided by Referrers and Referees in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”) and our Privacy Policy.
7.2. Use of Personal Information
- 7.2.1. Personal information will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Program, verifying eligibility, and communicating with participants.
7.3. Privacy Inquiries
- 7.3.1. Any questions or concerns regarding the handling of personal information can be directed to [DSA’s contact details].
8. Liability & Disclaimers
8.1. Limitation of Liability
- 8.1.1. To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, DSA and its directors, employees, or agents shall not be held liable for any claim, loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of or inability to use the Voucher, including any indirect or consequential damages.
8.2. Errors & Omissions
- 8.2.1. DSA shall not be liable for any errors or omissions in the calculation or issuance of Vouchers, or any technical issues preventing redemption. If an error is found, DSA will make reasonable efforts to correct it, but no additional compensation will be provided.
8.3. Indemnification
- 8.3.1. Participants (Referrers and Referees) agree to indemnify and hold DSA harmless from and against any claims arising out of or in connection with the misuse of Vouchers, breach of these T&Cs, or any violation of applicable laws.
9. Modification or Termination of the Program
9.1. DSA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program or these T&Cs at any time. DSA will provide reasonable prior notice where possible, but may implement immediate changes if required by law or for security or system integrity.
9.2. Any modifications will be effective upon posting the updated T&Cs on the DSA website or by communicating the changes to Referrers and Referees through other appropriate channels.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
10.1. These T&Cs and the Program are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
10.2. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these T&Cs, the Program, or any breach thereof, shall be resolved in accordance with the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
11. General
11.1. If any provision of these T&Cs is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
11.2. These T&Cs constitute the entire agreement between DSA and the Program participants regarding its subject matter and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings.
